The Foundation’s mission is to promote software literacy within the visual arts, and visual literacy within technology-related fields — and to make these fields accessible to diverse communities. the goal of processing foundation is to empower people of all interests and backgrounds to learn how to program and make creative work with code, especially those who might not otherwise have access to these tools and resources. Furthermore, we will be helping STEIM. STEIM (STudio for Electro Instrumental Music) is a center for research and development of new musical instruments in the electronic performing arts, located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Electronic music in STEIM's context is always strongly related to the physical and direct actions of a musician. In this tradition, STEIM supports artists in residence such as composers and performers, but also multimedia and video artists to develop setups which allow for improvisation and performance with individually designed technology. The name of the label is inspired on Dick Raaymakers Nachtmuziek.

recorded, edited, mixed and mastered by tiago morais morgado in early march 2016, using minimal technical resources.

since i graduated from a masters degree at the institute of sonology of the royal conservatory of the hague, i felt a huge necessity of putting out a solo viola record. and then starting putting out some recordings with viola and live electronics, and collaborations etc. it’s fairly constraining that 3 years have passed, and i didn’t get the money to buy the dammit 4066/4099 spa to record the album. music doesn’t have to be perfect we all are unperfected within our human condition, an music, as a systemic prostethetic element of who we are, is not an exception. there is not a need for aiming for the ideal setup to make a recording. many times, an old fame condenser microphone, with very low recording quality, coupled with a computer and an audio interface, is all we need. we have to assume our imperfections, we are not gods, independently of we may want to approach the ideal of deification, in the human condition. we have to stop, and accept that we are made of flesh and bones, and we will one day turn into the dust of stars. maybe our music as well. bearing this in mind i would like to introduce you to my newest solo record

"During my activity as a music critic, theoretical writer and observer of all things concerning creative music, few times I have met such a young musician so commited to discover new things and learn new techniques and vocabularies, developing his music further and further with a rare focus and perseverance. Tiago Morgado was a real surprise when I first heard him play, some years ago, connecting his viola to a laptop computer and some effect pedals, and he continues to be. Considering the almost solitary conditions of his work, and living in a city far away from the main experimental / improvised / contemporary music circuits in Portugal, mostly concentrated in Lisbon and Oporto, it was kind of a miracle to have someone doing what he did the way he did it. Only a very special person was able of such enterprise, moved by a never ending curiosity and a purpose in life. Since then I’m always keeping me informed of what he’s doing and how are his studies abroad, knowing that he will be, in a near future, a very important musician not only in my country, but also in Europe and the world. That’s why I don’t have any hesitations in saying that Tiago Morgado deserves any support coming from cultural institutions. I’m sure the reward will be fullfiling, in terms of compositions, recordings, performances and projects under his name."
