PHOTO_TONE is about the magic of a sonic journey into the world of subatomic interactions. Mia Zabelka explores the translation of chemical and structural processes into sounds and makes them perceptible in the audio field. Her sonic visions transport the listener into a fascinating technological world in which processes of modulation, elimination and the oscillation of elementary particles tell their own mysterious stories.
Beyond melodies, harmonies and rhythm, the aim is to make automatic processes audible. With her sound experiments, Mia Zabelka explores noise, movement, automation, division, symbiosis, dissonance and resonance. Mia Zabelka works with the interdisciplinarity between music and science. The term “scientific music” best describes her work. Scientific music is the code of the future because it allows us to envision more advanced life forms.
